- Delo® Gear Oil EP 4 is a versatile lubricant, formulated with paraffinic base stocks and a precisely balanced additive package to provide excellent gear protection and long-lasting lubricant performance. The sulfur-phosphorus extreme pressure additive technology in Delo® Gear Oil EP 4 delivers outstanding thermal and oxidation stability. Additionally, this lubricant is enhanced with rust and corrosion inhibitors, a foam inhibitor, and a pour point depressant.
- Delo® Gear Oil EP 4 reduces spalling and wear of gears by forming a microthin sacrificial film on the gear teeth surface, which is softer than the gears themselves. The frictional heat and pressure between the gear teeth cause the sulfur-phosphorus additives to react with the contact surfaces, forming the sacrificial film. The highly refined base stocks, combined with the inhibitors in the additive package, ensure a well-balanced lubricant that promotes long gear and bearing life.
